Guest ashai
My brake lights are always on, it seems that the brake light switch, front or back is oresses regardless of handles position. anyone had the same problem?
LDSRIDER
My back switch needed adjustment when I first got the bike. Easy to do. right side of the bike at your calf.

Member Contributer sirimiri Posted February 24, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted February 24, 2008 Make sure that your brake pads are not dragging, either just in case it isn't merely a "switch" clearance issue.

soichiro
Yep probably the rear switch. Easy to adjust. Ck the wires for the front one.
Auspanglish
Happened to me. Turned out it was the rear switch mechanism, it would get stuck in the on position. I went over the bike sooo many times, as it was intermitent but slowly got worse... to the point where I blew a couple of the bulbs and the bulb-housing (socket) melted and it caused the fuse for the Turn-signals and horn to blow too!! Apparently it can be disassembled and lubricated...
squirrelman
A very common Honda electrical problem across all models using this piece. YES, the switch can be disassembled by CAREFULLY spreading the top with a small blade to allow the 2 white tabs to come out for a clean up and lube. I've bored a very small hole in the body of the unit and spray lube in periodically.....seems to work OK.
