Guest gg2wheel4me
I sold my beloved 2005 VFR to a really nice guy a week ago and he got it home only to have the headlights not come on when starting up the bike. He pulled the right fairing off and found this plug haging free, a fuse had blown as well. Does anyone know where this goes....im thinking must be in the vacinity of the fuse box? Please help. I never had any kind of issues like this in over 17,000 miles with the bike. plug.jpg plug, ok, where does it go? I want this guy to enjoy the bike, so if you have answers, please reply. SEBSPEED
That is an awkward coincedence, isn't it? That plug is supposed to be hanging free, well, I feel it should have come with a cap on it, but that plug is what the shops plug their diagnostics into. Mine looked like that when the bike was brand new. As for the fuse... ???
KanadianKen
hate to say it - but no one else has - the blue connector / ground wire might be the culprit.....
Tightwad
All VFR's should also have the R/R wiring upgraded...whether with my plug in system or a custom one of your own.
Member Contributer jeremy556 Posted August 17, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 17, 2007 +1 on above about doing wiring fixes. That connector is for diagnostics. You can also short it out to read FI codes.
