Here's some pics of some of the riding here in NorCal. We are spoiled and I feel for our more Northern brothers and sisters, so here is some pics to get you through the rest of the cold days! Some pics of the Mines Rd. ride and also of Hwy1 north of San Fran.

One of my favorite rides is out of Livermore (some of you may have heard of the Lawrence Livermore Lab, where they make stuff to kill folks). It is now called the "Historic Livermore Wine Country". For some reason, it wasn't called that when I grew up there. It was just some town. Anyways, cork-sniffers, there is a sweeeet road going from there up to Mt. Hamilton, an observatory built in the early 1900's or so, and then down to San Jose. It is a beautiful ride with many challenging and fun variables to it. It can be a bit technical in spots, but I love it. So here' some pics (I took pics from 2 different rides):

Here's MotoRob of VFRD with his sweet 6th gen, and Simon (said in English accent) with his Duc.

Down the road a bit there is a bar where we all stop to chug a couple beers and do some shots of Jack before continuing (just kidding), always a bunch of cool bikes there like this dude. You meet the nicest people on a Honda!:

Nice views heading up to the top. Tried to get fancy with the road in the mirror and kinda failed.

The Observatory: Nice old school architecture!

This is what you have to look forward to on the way down. Beautiful:

Heading out HWY1. Anybody who has not been here needs to come here and ride this road. Be prepared for moronic drivers who fail to read the "Use Turnouts" signs! :goofy:

Stopped for gas on saw these cool vintage bikes including an Ariel!

The coast!!:

The roads leading up to (and down from) the Lick Observatory are incredible. Very technical and not for the faint of heart. Which probably explains the light traffic. Always ride it with a companion, because if you go over the edge, they won't find you for months.

Great shots, Brown. Keep 'em comin'.

Go Niners!
