  1. The VFR fuel filter is a life time item unless somehow it gets contaminated, there's is no recommended replacement for it. I wouldnt touch or replace it without good reason. Life time filter??? How do you figure that? Why do they make replacement filters then? Its a pretty good idea to change it at least once every two or three years. If it clogs up you bike may run really lean and then it will run really hot...so I have heard. Will anyone else like to chime in on this Life time filter statement? Nope it is considered a lifetime filter. Honda did the same thing to their cars years ago. We use to replace them but in like 97 they became lifetime filters. I have yet to see one stopped up. I am also talking 500k mile cars.

  7. You should be cruising on the balls of your feet. You should not have your heels on the pegs. There isnt really an adjustment for the brake pedal. You could adjust the master cylinder and brake switch but you would just be compensating for poor foot placement. I have big feet as well.
  8. Nice. Beware of wal-mart fog lights. I went thru 4 sets and gave up on them. You get what you pay for. Thanks for the write up. I am thinking of adding some piaa's.

  14. are you talking about the guard on the up pipe? Or attached to the peg? I bought my bike with Micron exhaust already on it and it didn't have the heat sheild on the up pipe. 17k miles later still no problems with that. And I do like the looks of the pipe that way. If you're talking about the little wing shaped guard on your footpeg? ... well, ya need that buddy. For the twisties! :fing02: No he is talking about the black piece of tin behind the peg. With it off you can see the pipes and it looks good. I bet it blocks more heat than you think.

Gotta join in. This is a perfect example of what not to wear on any bike. To each his own. No thanks for me on the rash. I would wear gear even if it was only for protection from wind, rocks, bugs. I feel naked in anything but full gear.
