  1. Where in nsw are you Brad. Maybe there is someone in your neck of the woods who would be willing to let you sit on their bike, try it for size?
  2. What about vinyl wrapping? You could probably get the colours fairly close and you preserve the original paint.
  3. Filled the bike and car with fuel. Catastrophic bushfire conditions predicted tomorrow so preparing to get the viffer, car and valuables packed ready to evacuate.
  4. Mine was built in August 2015, has the standard round can and is stamped Euro 4.
  5. Grum im not at all surprised that they have decided to discontinue the viffer. Big chook chasers and "cruiser" style bikes seem to be the popular choice these days. laurie
  6. The image is a screen shot from a tribute video showing all the VFR models. It was taken from the Honda Australia Facebook page last night. If you are on Facebook you should be able to go to Honda motorcycles Australia on FB and find the post. i posted the screen shot because I don't know how to share the full post here. laurie
  7. Was posted yesterday 19th April 2018.
  8. I've done a few 800k days on my 8th gen. I found it to be very cramped and uncomfortable. I ended up adding bar risers, lowered footpegs, foam grips and an adjustable wind deflector on the screen. It's now an acceptable tourer, but not an all day, everyday long distance machine. its a nice bike, but there are better mile munchers out there. laurie.
  9. Ive just put my second set of PR4s on. Managed to get 18k kilometres out of them. Both front and rear had a bit to go before the wear bar. The front was badly scalloped, and the rear picked up a puncture. they might have gone another 1000ks otherwise. Very pleased with them. Laurie
  10. If we are talking about a drop while parking/manouvering/turning in the shed/mounting or dismounting then I am going to claim "perfect" status. 40 years and no drops. If we are talking about drops after being hit by another vehicle...that's a different story.
  11. A few pics from ride from Sydney to my home in northern nsw. The Gwyder highway swoops down from the New England plateau to the coastal plains of the Northern Rivers region. its a great road and a great ride.
  12. Jangermann the sidestand was hitting on the peg. I cut a piece of 20mm bicycle tube, stretched it over the stand, then pushed a rubber grommet under it. Not an elegant solution, but it works. The brake lever can be adjusted to suit with no problems
  13. I bought a set from knight designs in the US. Shipped to Australia in a week. Good product, good service. Highly recommended.
  14. Ballina,northern nsw.
