A lot BTW. Just realized nobody has responded to you. A shame that system would go quick.

Just placed my order. Will swing by Harbor Freight tomorrow and grab some weights. -
WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY TO YOUR VFR 6TH GEN ?

Oil and filter done-also the radiator fluid. She ran up to 220 while sitting in the garage. The fan kicked on and it dropped to 200 real quick and the fan shut off. PERFECT! Running a Water Wetter product with Distilled water and maybe 10% Antifreeze 50/50 mix. Need to find an OE tool kit. Need to adjust the chain. Also anyone using a tire balance rig at home? I need to balance my wheels as the tires are still good. -

Well here she is before I tear her down (a little). Need to flush out the radiator fluid, Oil and Filter, just did the plugs. She is running 25800 miles. -
Hitting the corners this past weekend with the RWB

This could be my final year with the RWB
xpcgamer replied to VFR80025th's topic in Sixth Generation VFR's
I had a 5th gen I sold for my RC51. Loved that but I ride on the normal streets so traffic on that thing in South Florida heat killed me. From that I went to a B4 MV. In the end I am back to a VFR. Too much soul in this bike to get rid of it. Worst thing I did was trying to find a soul in an inline 4. Yuck. -
Well I had 5th Gen VFR. I sold it to grab an SP2 RC51. Rode that for a while and was tired of the racers tuck (and that damn seat!). I went with an MV Agusta Brutale 910s. A naked bike but I could not get used to the i4. Power just felt wrong. That is for sale now but until it does sell I grabbed an 07 RBW. Great bike. I will need some tires soon, new Puig screen, outside temp sensor, grips and will need to swap out the shorty ASV levers for standard length ones. Love riding it and can't wait to throw a rear top case on it for the grocery store runs 🙂 Thanks!

So I might have done a thing......
xpcgamer replied to Veefer800Canuck's topic in OTHER Motorcycle Talk (non vfr)
We should start a RVT1000R owners thread to share ideas. This forum get more traffic then RC51forums.com. Heal up Veefer! -

Yeah the Spal isn't even connected. In traffic the warmest the bike has gotten is 196 if you can believe that. Still want to connect the fan. Will have to dig into the Manual.
-
I do not have my fan connected. Do you really just plug the fan into the Factory fan connection? On the SP2 of course.

Well sold my 5th Gen to make room for my dad's old Shadow Aero. Turns out I missed the "whine" of Cam gears and always wanted one so I said what the heck? 2002 SP2. Front Mount Radiators Spal Fan Shift kit Airbox Mod Flapper Mod PC3 9600 miles

So this thread has gotten lots of traction! Turns out the Pivot Plates where worn down somehow. Ordered replacements for 10 bucks. Should be good once installed.

OK-So I had to retire my trusty Shoes X9 and the Icon Alliance sought my eye. The price was right so I grabbed a Matt black. Helmet is "OK" as far as venting and what not but the visor drive me bonkers! I can flip it up maybe once twice but it will always pop out of one side. I have to sit down and reattach it and not lift it up at all. Anybody else run into this problem with this helmet?
-
Why on earth would this even be in place. I mean that orange connector? Pretty silly to be honest. Looks like the cables just connect to eat other. I'll figure something out with that and also see about running a think cable from all of that to a bolt on the motor for ground. That should help.

Thanks All - Enjoyed the stay here at VFRD

The F800GS is a parallel twin BTW. Your Multistrada just needs some Dual Sport tires and you are ready to tackle some trails also! Thats the beauty of that bike! He was mine. Miss this damn bike! -

Thats an awesome bike. 160hp, selectable drive modes and that V twin. I had a F800GS BMW and I had a blast with it. You can carve corners then hop a curb cut threw a field or two and get back on the road again with out skipping a beat. -
Not happy with my Delkevic high-mount slip-on
xpcgamer replied to rc51jim's topic in Exhaust Systems
I looked at a lot of pictures (and videos) of pipes before I bought mine. What It came down to is that most of the lower price pipes sound very similar. This now came down to looks. I am afraid I did not go with the Delkevic because of how it splayed out of the fairing. I ended up getting the GPR Furon high mount and when I installed it lays in perfect alignment to the rear fairing and the side of the bike. I cannot show a pic of one yet as the bike is not in my garage at the moment but here is a Tri oval. And Delkevic. Bottom line I don't think your going to get it any closer. -
How do I go about bypassing it?
-
Yeah I took the tape off the orange connector and it looked perfectly clean. No corrosion at all. I am going to take part the other ground connections on the frame and sand them down and clean them. Every other connector is going to get pulled off and sprayed down with contact cleaner. I hope that does the trick.
-
OK Guys. I tore all the plastics off and check every connector (more on that in a minute). They all looked clean! All of them and all the fuse holders looked good as well. I cleaned and sanded the main ground on the frame and the bike started right up. Weird. Also I could not find the big blue connector. Anybody know where it is? I thought it was on the left side above the radiator but all I found was the Grey one.

Push "Into". Cut me some slack. It was 96 outside and humidity was @ 90%. I walked (pushed) for a mile with no shade what so ever in the sun. My buddy kept driving by with water bottles and letting me sit in the car to cool off with AC every now and then. Dude it was rough!
