Hi all,
I have removed the rear shock from my 2000 5th Gen and while it’s out would like to clean and repack the needle bearings in the dog bone.
Given the age of the bike, I’m replacing the seals. The bearings look good, no rust.
To clean them, can I use a solvent like kerosene with a toothbrush? Then blow out the remaining solvent with compressed air, and then repack?
