  1. So, after many months, I've finally installed my RB module. The saga in pix ... I ended up having to move the antenna for my alarm sys. pager farther back in the tail ... Got these connectors mostly tucked away, except for one of the big-ass grey units ... Got the O2 connectors fed thru ... Connected and tucked away ... Not too shabby. Tank down, seat back on, and ... Fired the old girl up, she started immediately, good sign. I'm still fighting a respiratory bug taking meds that make me a little dizzy, so running out for a 200 mi. ride to check her out will have to wait. Dizzy & hi-perf bikes do not mix, methinks ... ACE
  2. Just thought I'd jump in here as I'm finally installing my RB module. Got the cable way back when, and the race module in Jan., just now getting to the install. Pulled my PC3, re-connected the O2 sensors and rode her for a few days. Didn't really notice the PC3 was gone, other VTEC smoothing mods had already been done as layed out in the forum, maybe that's why. I'm using this 3 day weekend to pay attention to my bikes so the VFR is getting this update finally. Got the software downloaded a few minutes ago, ran the tool and let it update itself. Then it updated the module firmware. So after these ops, I saved off the initial map (get map to file). I think I'm ready to put the module in the bike & see what happens, not sure what to 'look' for. If I hadn't said so, I'm a bit excited ... :D ... ACE

  6. Have had my harness from the group buy, just pulled the trigger on the 'race' module ... anything I should know about the mapping (ign/fuel) that comes with the unit, anything to watch for? I'll be pulling the PCIII out, and I guess putting the oxy sensors back in place?, before firing this unit up ... TIA, ACE
  7. I hope you're not saying that even if we paid for the harness in good faith (I did), we won't get the harness unless we spend the additional $ for the module? When I pay for something, I kind of expect to get it ... ACE No not it all, we would hope that you would buy the module otherwise why would you purchase something you can't use without the module? if you wish not to purchase the module please request via e-mail that you would just like to get the wiring mailed out to you and no problem at all , I would put your wiring in the mail today. our e-mail is info@rapidbike.us , please let me know I will be more than happy to mail out your harness by itself . Thank you. and I am sorry if my previous post had caused a misunderstanding.and our phone # 407-277-5557 if you need to call us. Yaman Ah, yes just a misunderstanding then. I do want the cable ahead of time & will email to that effect. My intent is to get the module as well (yes, the cable is not of much use w/o) but this allows me to layout/install the cabling & have it ready for when the budget allows purchase of the module. Thx for clearing this up, I'm a bit slow I guess ... ACE

  9. Good to know, thx. This will be one of my off-season projects :D ... ACE
  10. Hi, and thx for making yourself available to answer questions. I just happen to have one question (6th gen here). I have the harness ordered, and am looking at picking up the race module. It is my understanding that this module will come with a standard ignition/fuel map that is much better than stock. Will this map require greater than 89 octane fuel? I ask b/c the stock 6th gen is supposed to run fine on as low as 87 octane. I can't imagine that a higher performance map in the race module would still allow this? Regards, ACE
  11. I have the Valentine module that 'remotes' the speaker via cable to ear buds. However, this is not ideal as the wiring is a pain to deal with. Also, with additional headphones in the helmet for bluetooth to SENA, the whole set up is just messy (for lack of a better term). Now, if Valentine has a bluetooth module that can connect to the SENA, or thru my phone to the SENA, then that would be a better setup. Even with the V1 display in my peripheral vision, and the units' speaker volume (not fed to the ear bud) all the way up, I'm still likely to miss an alert until too late ... ACE
  12. As many of us luv pix, here's a couple of my setup from a recent short trip (AL - NC & back): and: She's set up for trips in a similar fashion to yours, just different equipment. Ortlieb waterproof roll-top bags, tank bag that clips on to ring mounted to tank, RAM mounts to carry Garmin & V1, LED volt. mon., Spider grips w/ cramp buster, beaded seat (works very well to keep butt cool, gotta be careful when going to hang off ), 'safe-pak' that allows me to put helmet & small removable items in it & lock to bike, MRA screen with deflector, upgraded mosfet R/R, heli-bars, and sundry ... Enjoy your ride ... ACE
  13. Many in TX do this also, a pleasant surprise from AL :)
  14. 15 front/43 rear 520 conversion with D.I.D. X-ring ... did it for a trackday and will leave it this way until it wears out ... I'm also searching for 7th gear frequently ... ACE
  15. Put my Stebel as shown. Works but sound may be a bit reduced due to this location :^) ... ACE
  16. Thanx for the info. I just rec'd my PCIII from Revzilla this week. Looking forward to installing it, and to trying out the accelerator pump feature. Once I'm comfortable that everything is good, I plan to finally get my nitrous setup working at a 25HP shot, followed by the last step to a 40HP shot ... ACE

  21. Thanx Rivcyko, I'll let ya know. I plan to do something before I take an Oct. trip to see my son in Austin, TX. However, I've also picked up a 'track' bike and am spending some time with her as well :^). ACE
  22. You Beat Me! Only 2 problems with that, (with all respect),... 1) It will scratch very quickly. (The edges can be kept from lifting with a little clear coat). 2) The stuff with the anti-scratch, flakes off. You could, however, put the tint, on the inside. P.M. me your address, and I'll toss a coulpe clips, (35% and 5%, in the mail). Depending on finances, I'm sure Scot could put a resistor, in there. He may even just tell you what all you need, and how too. (Please, I'm not speaking for him, BUT he is that cool). Offer much appreciated. I won't put ya out at this point while I'm still considering going all out with red backlighting ... Anders
  23. Wow, thanx for the feedback. Looks like I need to ride to this Port Dover place for some 'rewards' :^). Anders
