  1. Doesn't seem like a good idea to me, especially considering the small size of the VFR radiator and the fact that you track your bike. I think your best bet would be to run a smaller but more efficient cooler like a Setrab or similar.
  2. Very true, gotta love VFRD members!
  3. Well, I was ordering a bunch of small things anyway, trying to bulk up the order a bit. Besides, I'm trying to kill myself on a regular basis when I ride, don't need help from an oil leak! Lol
  4. FRAME! That's the one section I didn't check! Freakin' Honda! Thanks!
  5. Not having any luck finding the oil cooler or lines on Service Honda, anyone know what section to look at specifically, or the part number for the o-rings themselves? I'm looking for the ones at the block. Thanks
  6. Thanks John, Those measurements are very similar to the 05-06. These seem to be the only two modern Honda sportbikes(practically the same bike really) with more than 30mm of fork offset. The 05-06 upper triple I have measured 32.75mm offset.
  7. Zombie thread, but better than starting a new one right? Anyone know what the fork spacing is on the 03-04 600RR? Also interested to know what he overall fork length is as well.
  8. quick butt shot of how the bike is looking currently. Will start my own thread as soon as I start working on engine related stuff.
  9. Found a couple of tools recently that take nearly all the guesswork out of aligning the rear wheel to the chassis, as well as the rear wheel to the front. First thing is this rear wheel alignment tool made by Quality machine co. http://qualitymachineco.com/productsales.html in Savannah GA. Very simple to use tool for checking rear axle to swingarm pivot alignment, cost $92 bucks shipped. You can also use it to check your wheel base if your front axle is hollow. Second tool is this ultra precise level I bought from the Home Depot,http://www.homedepot.com/Empire/h_d1/N-25ecodZ5yc1vZ12l2Zif/R-100356505/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=level&storeId=10051its supposed to be accurate to .0005"! It was a bit pricy at $80 out the door, but a helluva lot cheaper than some $600 straight edge! Far more confident that my wheels are aligned now. Much better than the "string" method I was using previously!
  10. Not to mention it will be blocking airflow when you're moving.
  11. Yes, we want to know every last detail of your bike! There just aren't enough VFR track bikes out there at the level of yours to drool over. Very inspiring for the guys who are building their own!
  12. Every Denso 2 pin COP uses the same connector as far as I know.
  13. You and me both! Why do you think I want you to post up a thread on your bike? ;)
  14. Thats promising.. might have to take u up on it.... Remember my spanner telling me the pump was just for safety shut off in the event of something happening, that was some years ago? But then remember a thread here was mentioning fuel pressure and scavenging fuel from tank when low?? Handy also? Have similar questions about extreme braking on track etc? Will be right back on that power and want good fuel availability? Bike in rebuild mode now with a new rear ally sub frame .. the rear is not plumbed in yet as im to finish a carbon nose fit. Dont want to change pump and COPs at same time... Unless am gonna stick me neck out... Na just decided, pump first test- with normal coils COPs maybe after..they are here and ready once basics are plumb. You really need to do up a thread on your bike KGS, one of my favorites on here.
  15. Have you run your bike at the track? Just wondering if its an issue under hard cornering/braking etc. I'm pretty sure the tank is vented already, so I don't think an additional breather is necessary. I can't imagine there being a flooding issue whilst the bike is running with gravity feed. I know there have been issues with NC30 taps leaking when the bike has been sitting causing flooding and eventually engine damage(from fuel filling up the sump), don't know if that would be an issue with the 750 tap though.
  16. Most newer cars don't even have a filter further up, just a sock and one inside the fuel pump module that usually never gets replaced until the fuel pump takes a dump.
  17. Hey kgs, are you running a fuel pump on your bike or is it gravity fed?
  18. Didn't notice the "C" on the end of VF750. May have to look into this, I'd love to get rid of the hydraulic clutch on mine.
  19. Wait, didn't the VF's have a hydraulic clutch?
  20. This sounds interesting!! Can you post a pic of the VF750c item up please? Oooooh! +1 to that!
  21. Just to be clear the two exhausts on the bottom are for the NC30/35, he doesn't have a VFR750 system ready to go as far as I know.
  22. I think your best bet is to find a really good local exhaust fabricator. I was quoted about $1K USD to have a custom system made by Hiperform in Southern California. He even offered to build some jigs for a little bit more in case I needed replacements. Here are some NT650 and NC30/35 exhausts they've done. http://www.hiperform.com/new_page_2.htm
  23. Your pics aren't working, most likely because they're on the VFRWorld site which requires you to log in.
