  1. I came across this today in a local online marketplace, thought you guys might get a laugh out of it as I did From what I got out of the ad the guy said it has a 1987 VFR700 engine that works great but would need a little work on the drive axle as it was twisting the axles he had kicking around The second picture shows the torque strip he left on the pavement. God the mind can sure go to some dark places when you get bored

  3. Has been awhile since posting, I was made redundant back in March after 25yrs so been enjoying some time off and my new job. Had the valves checked and all good nil adjustment required at 30000kms. Whilst at it Coolant, oil, filter, new Iridium Plugs, clutch and brake fluids, and a good clean. All going well. Merry Christmas to all.

  4. 35 miles on VFR98 later: Seat of the pants...there's no question that it runs better and smoother. I do not think that it is the new plugs, as they looked just fine, so that leaves me with the flapper and/or PAIR delete to credit/blame. 🙂 The new Roadsmart IIIs felt super too. The brake pads took a few stops, but now feel really nice and linear. I'm dreadful about wearing parts down to nothing before swapping them out...and trying to get to just shy of the end of reserve before filling up! Mello dude, thanks for the info on the flapper/PAIR mods to the 2000 with the O2 sensors and cat, and of course for the superb block off plates. I'd like to wrap it all up on VFR00 too. Thanks to the forum. I've been able to make so many useful and inexpensive mods to the VFRs because of you guys.
