Guest seadooloo Posted August 5, 2008 Now that is how you throw a 6 gen into a turn. It would be hard for me to believe you could take that turn on that bike any harder than you are right there. That is riding within your limits, just on the edge of those limits. Quite possibly not yours though , the bikes. :wheel: Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer oyama 67 Posted August 5, 2008 Nice pic! What is up with the guy on the ground? Did he fell off :( or is he taking pictures? :) Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer HiDesertMLB 7 Posted August 5, 2008 It is obvious RED is the faster VFR! Will someone give shaynej a clue ?!? Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer magicman 2 Posted August 5, 2008 Yeah... That's not lookin to bike friendly right there... How much scraping was involved? Looks like the perfect example to explain what scrapes after what... Feeler/peg/boot/center stand/fairing? Quote Link to comment
VFR4Lee 498 Posted August 5, 2008 Nice pic! What is up with the guy on the ground? Did he fell off :( or is he taking pictures? :) Must be taking pictures. Apparently a little short on brain waves. :wheel: Tell me you see that guys head on the white line when you're riding, you wouldn't try to roost his stupid face. :wheel: Great pic otherwise. :wheel: Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer magellan 2 Posted August 5, 2008 Cool pic, but get that head down on the inside of the curve and try to kiss your mirror. You'll lose 20 degrees of lean angle but gain 20% in confidence! Quote Link to comment
Forum CEO HispanicSlammer 889 Posted August 5, 2008 That looks like Mari2aPeterblt taking photos - I think you can give Doug a lot of credit for being able to ride at all after what I learned about his injuries dirt bike racing, remarkable he is riding at all - let alone on the edge like that. I for one would find it difficult to even sling a leg over the bike If I got hurt like that. Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer tyrroneous 1 Posted August 5, 2008 I can hear the hard parts scraping! Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer dbs05 5 Posted August 5, 2008 Sam had fallen down drunk in the corner and could not get up. We left him there. In Doug's defense, his form is very good but he had on textile pants and could not put his knee down like usual and I think that played a part in his 'form'. Quote Link to comment
Guest dendron Posted August 5, 2008 Glad to see the Property Assessor candidate in your area supports road racing by posting his campaign sign on turn 5. This is good news, and could signal the beginning of a political trend among politicos. Quote Link to comment
soichiro 20 Posted February 24, 2010 Yeah thats about all there is. Michelin PP tires. rider has 21 years experience. Yall know the famous pic. of Sebspeed throwing sparks with bags on. Well we were together, he is just as guilty, lol. I dont have peg feelers and the pegs touched. I knew that was all and the bike came thru fine. I did this turn maybe 5 times. Nothing touched down but the peg and probably a toe slider. I usually wear leathers and my style is very diffirent. I felt fine in the turn and so did the bike. I have enough experience to know my limits and if I fell it would be all my fault. Quote Link to comment
