nothing like the open road, scenic vistas, memories, lung disease, and flipping your cigarette butt. i hate cigarettes and this photo is every reason why.

I don't know which is more dangerous, sitting in the middle of the road, or the CIG.

I quit cold turkey for 2 years before that road trip, I think I bought a pack on the second or third day of the trip. Had to force myself to take longer breaks because my legs were cramping up - shortest day was ~290 miles, longest was 785! Really need to quit again, for good this time...

I need a caption for this one... How about:

"I'ma kill Timmy when I figure out what he did with my bike..."

I thought that road looked familiar. Just outside "Happy" Holbrook Az, I grew up not far from there.

The longer you wait the harder it is; set a date, make a plan. I went 20 years before going cold turkey, not a couple weeks I'd want to live through again.

Thanks for the encouragement capn! It's not a habit I want to pass on to my son, the way my father did... what I really need to do is find a way to constantly remind myself that quitting could turn into a bike payment! A couple of these wouldn't hurt either >>>
