Carlitox33
Guys, After many years, I´ve found there is a missing part in my bike. It´s a part, like a little "bucket" that separates the upper fairing from the fairing stay, and through which the mirror stem goes. The part number is 64211-MJ4-000, and it is unobtainable. Could someone who has the part in his bike tell me what the measurements for the part is, so I can try to fabricate it? Many thanks! Cheers. Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 5, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 5, 2016 I checked a few Dutch sites and indeed, no longer available. But there are a few VFKR owners here who could help.
TheDutchy
You mean this grey cup shaped bushing in this pic?
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted April 5, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 5, 2016 To increase your search parameters, the 86-87 VFR700/750 uses almost the same part. It is slightly taller or shorter (can't remember which right now), but it is workable, I've done it. I'll try and take some measurements to confirm. Carlitox33
You mean this grey cup shaped bushing in this pic? Indeed... It is exactly that part. If someone who has it, could take some pics and measurements of it so I could try to replicate it, I´d be extremely grateful. (I can almost calculate the size of the part by comparing it with the size of the bottom nut!) Doesn´t seem to be too complicated! Many thanks!
