Wheel Install

Hey, so I just took my wheel of to get a new tyre.

I've put the wheel back on, but now it's very vibey. Is there a key marking between the wheel and the hub? So the wheel only goes one way...

I didn't have the wheel balanced when the new tyre was fitted, but I never have on any of my bikes.

Thanks

Jesse

What year is your bike?

Both rim (on one of the spokes methink) and the tyre will have an arrow.

Also the spacers are different, but you will be strugling to fit the wheel.

It sounds like you're talking about a rear wheel since you mention the wheel and hub being keyed or indexed. The rear goes on in any orientation - there is no specific matching of wheel and hub. Even though you have not previously had wheels balanced does not mean you will have a good outcome in every instance. Check that the bead is seated properly on the wheel, that the tire runs true and the pressure is correct. If it were mine I would return the wheel to the installer to have the balance checked.

It appears to have been balanced, I found some rubber padding without weights and also a weight has been removed from the non drive side.

I've just pulled my wheel off and turned it 90 degrees.

Maybe it'll act a bit better.

"I've just pulled my wheel off and turned it 90 degrees."

Front? The front also has a direction arrow.
