NZCam
Has anyone thought to do, or seen an aftermarket LH switchblock for the new Viffer? A common criticism seems to be the after-thought-esque looking switch for the traction-control, and the indicators being positioned below the horn and instead of vice-versa. Surely there's a market for a swap-out?
duccmann
So your honking instead of signaling?
MotoPumps
Interesting. Yes, all of those things bug me!
Member Contributer MBrane Posted November 27, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted November 27, 2014 Anybody who's ridden a paddle signal BMW is familiar with the angry left turn signal. Never understood the logic behind oddball controls.
NZCam
I'm currently riding a Gen-6, but I'm seriously considering the new model, and looking to see if the gripes I felt from the test ride have work-arounds. During my test ride, I did get the horn a few times by accident, but was gratified to see in some YouTube bike reviews that I'm not the only one to have done this. fatshoutybloke
No, you are by no means alone! I've got used to the buttons in the 'wrong' place without much effort, but my thumb still catches the bigger horn button on the way to the indicator button occasionally. SHvar
In a few days I stopped bumping the horn, now its easier than it was with my old bike with the controls reversed. Just like the auto cancel turn signals, now they are a great feature once I got used to their timing.
