From the Dutch .pdf: "removal of 100 HP restricion".

Since I had to have this done by way of changing ECU, velocity stacks and HISS reprogramming - so they told me - and that was 3500 euro, I wonder how they do it.

Great find! Seems you have to send the ECU tho, can't ride very well without it.

Really curious about the results!

Modern ECU's are equiped with EEPROM memory. Once you know the (Honda) protocols you can reprogram the ECU.

This is a very common practice on European cars.

You don't need to change the velocity stacks. A 100 hp VFR has the same velocity stacks as 173 hp version. I wonder who told you this.

HISS is a passive device. This means that your ECU reads the HISS chip in your key. In fact you can use any ignition key, as long as the ECU can read the key chip (this can be easily removed and placed in another key)

You're welcome...

Mine will also be done soon, when my financial advisor (wife) releases the funds...

Do you know if there are Dyno results available?

Yes, they are.

But they consider company dyno charts worthless, because too many companies have manipulated them.

The best chart you can have is from your own dynorun, they said.

Idealmotor where I bought it. It's been nothing but lies and scam efforts (I have proof) until I took action.

I had to provide a copy of my ID for the 'new' keys as well.

Befbever, you payed 3500 € to remove 100 hp restriction????

I have just received price to remove it from dealer in Brussels: 950 €. My friend just did it in Halle KrP, i will ask him what he payed.

Changing the velocity stacks? What a lot of B.S. they told you. Even a qualified Honda technician isn't allowed to touch most parts of the throttle body. Check the VFR1200F service manual and confront them.

I know only one company who does a real tuning on the VFR 1200, that's Kainzinger in Germany.

http://www.kainzinger.com/vfr1200/honda-vfr-1200-tuningbereich/vfr-1200-tuning-mit-motoreingriff/index.html

At least, I hope they gave you the parts back they replaced.

Nope, didn't get any parts back. As to the velocity stacks, the guy didn't know shimmy (or jimmy as he wrote it down) has nothing to do with the headstock. IMO he doesn't even know what velocity stacks look like.

I won't go into more detail but that shop isn't going to last much longer. Been to two Honda dealers since, they both quit selling Honda. One after 25 years. He's the one who replaced the rear shock under warranty last year. It has now seized up again.

No more Hondas for me, thanks. The bike's my only transport. I need a dealer I can rely on.

Edit: Bartho & VFRFlanders: kindly PM me a cell phone number or e-mail address in case I need more Belgian-law Honda expertise. And thank you both for the info!

I have pre and post BZAAZ and Slip on dyno charts in a previous post...BLUF...

before 145 HP Rear 79 FT/LBS TQ

after 157 HP Rear 87 FT/LBS TQ

1st and 2nd gear limits removed by the BZAAZ module, Power Commander PC5 and 2 Bothers Slip on took care of the rest. About 500.00 total. I didnt have to pay for the PC V as DynoJet used my bike to establish the maps for the 2012. They have a shop in Vegas right down the street from where I work.

I took a week long trip to Kansas and back in August, 3300 miles, rode like a maniac...its an amazing motorcycle.

@vfrflanders: Any update on the re-flash?

I received the reflashed ECU today.

Test will be done next weekend (more time).

Any ride impressions or dyno runs on the re-flash vfrflanders.????? What changes did you request in the ECU programming?
