pete2
I wonder what makes motorcycles so expensive in Australia. I my country (Belgium - Europe) we pay 14990€ for a 2012 model, but this includes 21% VAT (some sort of sales tax). Roughly, this is 19.000 Australian dollars (VAT included). But, when you compare our pre-tax prices to the US, I feel ripped off. So far it's an open question for me: Who makes the profit - Honda or the tax office? Or both? That might be like in Finland. We have an extra tax that makes VFR1200 to cost 19995€. That makes 25274 AUD !. But I still think it is worth it .
LoopRider
Finland even more expensive than in New Zealand then, I think I feel better (?). Well when I ride my VFR anyway, I,m with you Pete2, I still think its worth it. Clearly USA gets the best deal, is there anyone worse than Finland at more than $25000 (US or Aus)? V4 Rosso
IIRC there is someone on here from Brasil that paid a record price for his VFR1200.

LoopRider
Yep, that is more expensive than here. Did they discount the older (non TC) bikes in Russia?
