jsamurai77 Posted April 21, 2014 Share Posted April 21, 2014 Hey guys, did the 3/4" hose work? What is the diameter on the stock hoses coming off the thermostat? What about 5/8" is that to large? Member Contributer BCmcrider Posted July 18, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted July 18, 2014 Just adding a comment here that if you're thinking of just tightening the leaking hoses, you may want to re-consider. I couldn't get to the short stat hose clamp without pulling the throttle bodies so I figured I may as well replace them and the stat. Afterwards, I cut one hose open that looked bulged and found it seemed to be missing the white fibre reinforcement through the cross section of the hose. I assume it disintegrated or just broke and pulled back as the hose bulged. Glad I replaced them instead of discovering this in the middle of going-to-the-sun highway. Both short hoses side by side. Note the bulge in the curved one. The bulged hose cut through to show the missing fibre around about 1/3 of the perimeter. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
