Member Contributer Chev Posted June 6, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 6, 2011 I need a voltmeter, and I have a Powerlet port in plain view. Does anyone know of a plug in volt meter for Powerlets? That would be a pretty nifty idea especially for those that have several bikes with Powerlets. Just connect your voltmeter to the plug? http://www.powerlet.com/product/basic-plug/275 Chuck

Would you want to add a "Y" or something when you use those items or just not have the volt meter available all of the time??
Member Contributer Chev Posted June 6, 2011 Author Member Contributer Share Posted June 6, 2011 I have not used the powerlet for anything. Not much need to heated gear and the GPS is hardwired. I guess at some point I would feel the need for a powerlet, but as of right now it just collects dust.
Forum CEO HispanicSlammer Posted June 6, 2011 Forum CEO Share Posted June 6, 2011 I would use it for charging the battery then Chev, get a quick connector and wire up a powerlet plug to the other end, then hook up the trickle charger to the powerlet plug! Thats what I do for the veefalo.
Member Contributer ki-speed Posted June 6, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 6, 2011 Get a Escort / Passport radar detector. Plug it into the powerlet. The radar detector has a built-in voltmeter. That's how I monitor for radar and voltage at the same time. Mark
