Member Contributer Daniel Paul Posted November 20, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted November 20, 2008 Assuming that it is the same procedure for both models... How do you bypass the O2 sensor so that the "FI" light will be off? Unwittingly bought an exhaust for my F4i... found out later that there is a difference between California models and the rest. I remember reading somewhere that you just need a few resistors.... but I'm not sure which ones? Thanks!!!
Tightwad
The same 330 ohm resistor mod should apply
Member Contributer Daniel Paul Posted November 20, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks Tightwad. Do you happen to have a link to the mod?
Baileyrock
I take it you have a CA model F4i w/02, otherwise just plug the hole if not. I think there's only one 02 on your CA F4i.
Member Contributer Daniel Paul Posted November 20, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted November 20, 2008 Yes, the bike is a Cali model, the exhaust is not.
SEBSPEED
The same 330 ohm resistor mod should apply +
Member Contributer Daniel Paul Posted November 20, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted November 20, 2008 The same 330 ohm resistor mod should apply +1 so, how many do I need 1... 2? Which wires do I cross?
SEBSPEED
The resistor goes in the plug that comes off the wiring harness. You'll need 1 resistor per o2 sensor.
