Titanium2000
This adopted Honda I have had been dropped before my ownership.Ā Ā My intention was to sand down the paint plus respray. The tank has some OP orange peel in the clear.Ā Ā Ā I intend to strengthenĀ each fiberglass lug with carbon matting plus Cyanoacrylate glue. (THIN) Ā With the one side of the fairing off I may take it to a local paint shop. Ā I follow Windy Urtnowski on utube who repairs crashed fairings from bikes.Ā

Member Contributer Hingley Posted March 2 Member Contributer Share Posted March 2 I will be very interested in seeing how you get along and how well the new paint matches the old pieces, unless you are doing a complete respray.
Member Contributer ShipFixer Posted March 2 Member Contributer Share Posted March 2 I resprayed the parts I couldn't buy NOS with color matched paint from Color Rite, which did not exist back in the day.Ā Perfect match for R157, yellow should be a lot easier.Ā Ā Ā My spray can results with lacquer clear coat were and still are excellent, anything beyond that should look and feel perfect.Ā It's on my list of things to do to re-do with 2K clear coat from a small spray gun now that I have the space, but haven't had to almost four years later.
