Since my wreck 11 months ago, my rescue-motorcycle "Hornet" has been in shambles...

... and I have been generally discouraged from working on her since then, for no other reason than being in my feels.

--- --- ---

But that recently changed! 2023 has bestowed a new motivation for working on this old hog again, so we are back for some exciting garage time!

Removed resisters from each blinker (previous 'hyperflash' fix for the LEDs), added a digital flasher unit, and generally cleaned up the wiring... It's kind of odd to hit the blinkers and no longer hear the 'click-click' noise, but it works fine!

...Which was great solder practice for what is next - the coil on plug conversion!

Primary and secondary resistances are nominal on all four. New spark plugs too.

... added CBR 929 factory rearsets to replace the Chinesium ebay ones that were mangled in the wreck (They feel solid!).

... And thanks to AirTech here in SoCal, I also have all new fiberglass plastics!

.. and some R&G frame sliders so I don't need to dig deep into my pockets should she tip over again.

Good days are ahead!! I had to share this with somebody, and the family has had enough of me freight-training motorcycles into every conversation. 😁

Keep the shiny side up, and the rubber side down, everyone!!

Sorry to hear about your off. Glad you're ok and motivated to fix the bike up!

Looks like the rearset adapters held up well in the crash?

I was definitely in the rough for a bit... Now I'm back at it enjoying my garage time again!!

The ebay rearsets cushioned the fall so your adapters didn't have to take the hit 😁

Here's the aftermath:

(for those who are not acquainted, that lever should not be pointed directly towards the camera lol.)

Those 929 rearsets fit the look and feel oh so nice.

Thanks @SEBSPEED for making those adapters, and thanks to @Duc2V4 for your expertise and generosity with installing the kit last year (as well as many other bits you gave and traded with me - I'll LYK when she's 100%, and we should meetup for a ride to Palomar Mountain! Gas on me.).
