I apologize if this has been covered, but I'm having difficulty finding answers about the VFR1200 trunk/top case. I ordered the OEM rear carrier hoping that I could install my Givi case, but they do not appear compatible. A few questions, if I may: 1. Is there an adapter plate that would allow install of a givi case on the OEM carrier? 2. Regarding the OEM trunk/top case, how does this mount to the carrier? I do not have an OEM top case to look at, and I'm having trouble picturing how it attaches. Is an adapter plate of some kind required here as well? (Photos of rear carrier/base plate and underside of OEM trunk would be appreciated) 3. I've read that a larger (45L instead of 31L) OEM trunk is available. Does anyone know where I may source one without paying an arm and a leg? 4. Are there any surprise duties/taxes/fees when ordering items from Europe from here in the States? Thank you in advance!

Hi all, Just got my new toy. Came up from a Yamaha Diversion XJ6S to this monster...........and i LOVE it. As you can see, i took the old tank sticker off and put my own new tank pad and tank grips. Bike came with the DAM pipe, a virtually unworn pair of Michelin PR4's AND the panniers. Got my new camera mount coming soon for the front stem. As i bought this used, there are some creases and scratches, especially on the mirror arms so i also invested in some carbon fiber mirror covers and paint chip film. Will post pics once they're all on. My only gripe is that the previous owner didn't get the driveshaft recall work done so I've got to suffer the inconvenience of that...but, hey, it's free so small price to pay for, what will be, a superb machine when it's done. Thanks for looking

Got out for a little birthday ride today at dusk ... a beautiful night with 65F/18C temps. I had to watch for deer, there are lots of 'em in my area. Stopped at this old cider mill for a pic.© ©2013 AnnieR

This shows the heat shield that's on the bottom of the R saddlebag. -

Inside, there's an elastic retainer strap in an "X" shape that buckles in the center. Straps can be removed entirely via clips at each corner. The cylinder lock shown on the top surface (with my ignition key in it) comes with sets of tumblers so you can set it up to accept your ignition key.-

The new saddlebags went on today. They're gorgeous and Honda did a nice job with fit 'n finish. The practical test will come over the coming 1000s of miles. Attaching these to the bike is extremely simple.-
