  1. Flying to Italy coming weekend Bikes, parts and pizza...... what is not to like?
  2. The VF pulled commuting duties today. Yesterday the MV went to Gouda.
  3. Everyone has a favourite tipple.... I'm undecided at the moment (My pal is coming over for a wee session)
  4. The rear shock functioned when I bought the bike in 2015. Soon upgraded front and rear. Suspension best bang for the buck imho. Carb diaphragms and needles? Swingarm bearings? Wheel and bearings? Nope. Just the head bearings Clutch still OEM. Its entire history is recorded in this topic. From the top of my head... Oem Voltage regulator replaced tens of thousand click ago. Cheapo chinese copy still going strong. Added a voltmeter to keep tabs. Oil seal clutch rod Exhaust collector box. I ride all year. Hydraulic lines replaced for SS Hel, not because they failed. Disposable income 🙂 Radiator leaked at bottom left exit. Replaced with a 2nd hand one.
  5. Life can be an uphill struggle... Rewarded with a great view.. Trailer biatches... Morcilla is good! Sirtaki!!! Hoppa!!! 150 single, 300 twin There were so many special bikes (all in fact ), but this stood out from tge crowd (4 me...)
  6. Did the "5,000 curvas" yesterday in Spain. Depary 8:30 (late......), arrive 23:18. 560km's
  7. Yeah, I tried that, putting a bit of hose from vaccuum to vent . But the outer edge had deterioted too much and would not fit/seal properly anymore. It leaked... I have o-rings aplenty, but no 48mm 🙂
  8. "So you think you can ride me all you want mhh?" well, she started playing up, showing signs of fuel starvation on the motorway (despite a full tank). In fact stalled, forcing me on the hard shoulder. No bueno, but she fired up after a while. So yet, the usual suspect is the vacuum fuel cut off and indeed: Poor/no vacuum means little/no fuel. I reckoned climbing into the attic and pilfering the innard of my spare tank would help me over until a new set would come in. Euh....... No My spare one is for the 84-85 model which had a electric fuel pump. and is a lot smaller (Same size as the VF400F's) As is the hose diameter..
  9. Slowly but surely...... Will reach the ton in 200km (the tacho cable gave way near Tours, France last year. So 800 click not recorded..). But i will of course go the "extra mile" for the "moneu shot"
  10. Classy and clasdy Vulgars and classy 😇 But they have better brakes though... (not hard to achieve versus Scary Scarabs....)
  11. No, perhaps next year. Mid september I'm off again to the Picos Europa ralley in Spain.
  12. Met up with a bunch of "like minded individuals" today for a 200km+ run though the hinterland and on top op windy dikes..
  13. At 10 years, 225,000km, the airco pump broke on my Renault Megane. A grand to have a new one put in (putain!!!), I will let that one slide. Will ride the car (+bike trailer) to Spain and back next month. No AIRCO but ARKO: Alle Ramen Kunnen Open ! (I survived the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's w/o airco)
  14. The Picos ralley in september (pre-1980 bikes) route instructions are paper only.
