I could help out with an event in Colorado. An ideal central point, besides Salida, would be Montrose. And to those of you who think May would be a good time to ride Colorado's High Country, it's not. Late June, July, or August would be better. I would like to see a small event in 2008, and plan for a good show in 2009.
I don't think it is too loud. Maybe that's because there are so many Harley's around here. Almost any aftermarket pipe on a Harley is louder than a Staintune. I also really like the sound, having heard them on other VFR's. It doesn't have the buzzy sound typical of inline fours, and really balances out the sound of the cams. B) :goofy:
I received my Staintune a week after I installed new Pilot Powers. Before I put the tires on, I polished the rims. Gives the bike a whole new look and attitude.

I don't know if it adds power, but without the spud, I turned into a rip-snortin' supersport chasin' hooligan!
Now, as long as I don't turn into a :offtopic: :goofy:
Yes, I got mine yesterday. It looks and sounds awesome. The 6" metal piece bolts on underneath your right rear grab handle, and slots down between the plastic and rear fender. Take off the reflector first. If you haven't taken the old one off first, loosen the clamp just behind the catalytic converter, and unbolt it from the right footpeg. The new Staintune slides on behind the catalytic converter, and you use the old bolt to attach it at the footpeg, and the new bolt that came with it to attach it to the metal bar that you installed underneath the grip. The other short piece of metal is a spacer for the left rear grap handle. Everything on mine bolted up nicely. Don't forget the high temp silicone where the pipe slides on behind the catalytic converter.
I hope this helps.
Ok, I was thinking the low would be better for saddlebags, but then HS posted pics with the high mount and hard bags, so I am now interested in a high mount for a 5th Gen.
Thanks HS!
