  2. Couldn't source this in Canada (for my 04 VFR Clutch Cover ). The identical match here is Dupli-Color Perfect Match CBHA0928 Graphite Grey Met (NH91M), which I found at Canadian Tire in the Honda car/truck paint section. It's a 227g spray can (about 2/3 the size of a regular aerosol paint can).

10 day trip from Vancouver Island
  7. From the album: 2006 Laguna Seca MotoGP

We took to long taking so many side routes that we didn't get into our campsite on the road up to Crater Lake in Oregon until about 8:00 in the evening. Part of the problem was that we took too long getting going in the morning and didn't leave our campsite until about 10:00. We got better about leaving in the morning at a decent time as the trip went on and would start the riding by 7:00 or 8:00 a.m.. This way we were able to get in a good day and still have time to relax and b.s. about the trip with "re-hydration cans" during the evenings. In this picture, the 4th member of our group hooked up with us since he had to leave a day later. He came all the way from Vancouver Island and pinned it to make it to our (day 2) campsite in one day. We couldn't believe it when he showed up less than 3 minutes of our arrival!!

The only time we ever stopped at an interstate rest area since we hardly used I5 at all. The rest area was a nice break from slab riding! We all found that interstate riding seemed to take forever. Probably because it lacked any fun and we felt more tense riding it.

We stayed at this campsite on our way out of Mount Saint Helens. It was a great site about 6 miles from I5 with a Chevron and small grocery close by where we picked up some "re-hydration cans" and some snacks which we called our dinner. The mosquitos were real bad here but we didn't let it bother us. We had spent a great day on the road starting out at 4:30 a.m. to catch a 6:10 ferry for Port Angeles. Everything went fantastic and we had put on many miles. Our only resturant stop was in Legget on the way starting up St Helens for lunch.

The visitor center has lots to look at including an interesting 20 min film about the eruption.

What an incredible and expensive road to view the mountain. Not much for any twisties but the views made it worthwhile.

  13. For all those of you who have done the stripping/polishing on their rims; how are they holding up to weathering? What is the maintenance like? I am seriously thinking about doing the same because it looks so sharp.
  14. A bump for this innovative mod. I will be doing this in the near future after getting frustrated with some of my fairing screws. I plan to deal with the fairing theft concern by keeping the upper screws stock (the ones that screw right into a metal "nut". The ones that are flimsy I can do without and will replace. Thanks for the idea HS.
