Steward National Park near Crater Lake in Oregon
We took to long taking so many side routes that we didn't get into our campsite on the road up to Crater Lake in Oregon until about 8:00 in the evening. Part of the problem was that we took too long getting going in the morning and didn't leave our campsite until about 10:00. We got better about leaving in the morning at a decent time as the trip went on and would start the riding by 7:00 or 8:00 a.m.. This way we were able to get in a good day and still have time to relax and b.s. about the trip with "re-hydration cans" during the evenings.
In this picture, the 4th member of our group hooked up with us since he had to leave a day later. He came all the way from Vancouver Island and pinned it to make it to our (day 2) campsite in one day. We couldn't believe it when he showed up less than 3 minutes of our arrival!!
