  9. this years meet is in Newport Oregon this weekend. The photos above are from 2005 when Snowgirl and I hosted it here in Eureka.
  10. you know your really have to watch what you say around this forum buddy. The non Honda piece of crap you are referring to happens to be Snowgirls first bike. Her bike now is the red one parked next to it. The other non Honda piece of crap you refer to belongs to Fred, who is a friend of the guy whose album this is in and has been to two meets now and is a hell of a guy. Oh by the way, you say you have a Suzuki in your garage!! Whats up with that piece of crap?

  15. Well we headed over to Redding via Hwy.299 Friday afternoon and as luck would have it we had NO TRAFFIC for the famous run down Buckhorn summit into Redding so we got to enjoy about 10 miles of very twisty road uninterrupted. The temp was well over 100 even late in the day so it was to the pool before showering to meet a lady friend for dinner and partying. Saturday we were up (not too early) and headed out Hwy. 44 toward Lassen park, Burney, through the hat creek and pit river drainages. These two areas are some of the best trout fishing in the U.S. Sat. night we met a lady at the pool and ended having dinner with her that night then dancing. Here are a few pics. The one of Kelly has Mt. Lassen in the distance but its sort of hazy because of fires. Image8.jpg At the north entrance to Mt. Lassen Volcanic Park. The through road of the park was just opened as a result of 35 ft. of snow this past winter. Image5.jpg Rim Rock Resort in Old Station, Hwy. 44 near Lassen Image4.jpg Snowgirl and Mt. Lassen
  16. I think if you read other threads on here as well other publications on the net about the Scotts filter vs. paper etc. you will form the opinion of many other here that the Scotts is not as good and it costs way too much. It simply will not filter small enough.
  17. To be honest, I really don't even know what BLOG means !!! but have a general idea of what they are for. Recent items for Snowgirl and I are a beautiful ride we did on the infamous Hwy. 36/Hwy.3/Hwy.299 here in beautiful far northern California. After stopping on South Fork Summit and talking with another husband and wife riding team about dear/mishaps and learning of her wreck involving one, we rounded a corner just a few miles east, a nice 80mph left sweeper and low and behold here is big 3 point (6 point east coast) in my lane. Fortunately I was able to slow and come to a safe stop while it was bounding off the road. If any of you ever want to ride this great loop with us, venture up or down here for a weekend of amazing mtn. scenery, rivers, great food and of course very twisty fun roads. This weekend is on the bikes over Hwy. 299 to Redding. The run down Buchhorn summit is an absolute thrill. The next major event is Laguna Seca then in August the PNW VRD meet in Newport, Oregon.
  18. Got mine yesterday and installed today. Darn easy job and the blue sure looks sweet on the fast yellow bike!!!
  19. didn't the original post say you needed 5? that is how many I ordered.
  20. Would these bulbs be called "combination meter bulbs" in the manual on page 19-9? I take it that removal of the front cowl etc. is required to do this? On page 19-9 it shows a removed bulb in the lower pic. Are those the ones you are talking about replacing?
  21. the Mobil 1 filters I get at AutoZone. I order Purolator Pure One online by the case as they are not a west coast item. East coast folks should be able to find them readily.
  22. There are many very high quality aftermarket filters that fit our bikes. Search the threads and you will find info on the two major ones. Purolator Pure One and Mobil One filters are about the best IMO and many others.
  23. I know what your saying. Phil did an amazing job matching my front and rear. I am still running what he set for me at his shop as far as Rebound and Compression. The knowledge Phil has and the work he does is amazing.

Hwy 36 in the turn where BLS laid it down...see the marks?
  25. Why would anyone want to use a slider that has to bolted to a bracket? Where is the strength in that? Where is your protection? The bracket is just going to bend as soon as the bike hits the ground. Sounds and looks like the Motivation sliders are purely cosmentic and perhaps only good in a no speed tip over in the driveway.
