  1. I had the Corbin Beetle Bags on my 98 when I had it during the early 2000’s. Even back then they were expensive!
  2. I put GenMar bar risers on my ‘03 and it was a simple addition but I didn’t file off the position tab. It really helped comfort-wise.
  3. 2003 Honda VFR800 Interceptor, silver, w/Givi bags, Erion pipes, non-ABS: $4,000. Adult-owned, garaged, and in great condition with many extras. Has about 12,800 miles, runs smooth, includes lowered footpegs, GenMar handlebar risers, Sargent seat, Erion Racing exhaust, tinted windscreen. Lockable, color-matched 1-key Givi hard bags, new Dunlop Q3+ tires available with sale, and more. Everything works. Stock seat, footpegs, windscreen, extra front fairing included. A few scuffs on the lower fairings but still looks and operates great. I've owned the VFR since 2017 and am moving to a Honda Valkyrie Interstate which is like a big brother to this VFR w/matching bags. Central Maryland area. Cross posted. 4047883757.
  4. I followed the procedure in my 03 VFR last night and did not have to cut the threaded brake rod at all but it’s at the max adjustment length. Did have to stretch, reassemble, restretch, and test the brake light switch and spring. Great info and thanks to an old thread!

  6. Thanks UrbanEngineer. I spun the adjusting bolt down farther into the U-channel, readjusted the rear brake light switch, and uncurled about 3 coils of the stoplight spring. Of course I had to remove the foot peg bracket, rear brake master cylinder, and heat guard to get to it. And naturally, I had adjusted it all the opposite direction first and then refitted everything nice and snug. Second time was a charm however, and it feels a lot better now! Thanks to the Forum for good tips.
  7. I used MaxSwell’s open ended wrench rear brake pedal bending technique and am now squared off again. A small piece of the toepiece underside splintered off but a touch with a metal file or dremel sander should fix me up. Sorry for the delay but I had to wait until the weather warmed up a bit here in Maryland to avoid cold snapping the metal. Any suggestions on lowering it by an inch to match lowered footpegs?

  12. Could your problem be the stator or voltage regulator or some other voltage gremlin? I’m a recent VFR owner (for the 2nd time!) but your problem sounds familiar to an electrical issue I had with my fuel injected Buell XB9R.
  13. I am also debating bar risers so I will pay attention to this thread. Meanwhile I noticed BusyLittleShop on this forum has a note about his custom footpeg lowering blocks which could help your comfort factor. I’m also 6’ and just PM’d him about the pegs.
