  1. I can attest to the JDM F4i shock install on a 6th gen non-ABS is possible without modifications to any parts of a stock bike. I would not have been able to do the job by myself however (due to my limited mechanical skills). I think even an experienced MC mechanic would do well to have a helper. Fred (huntinggunns) was my mechanical expert. We did angle the mounting bracket some while lining up the bolt to the hole in the subframe and then with the shock half-way home, used a wrench to straighten the bracket before tightening the mounting nut on top. It definitely took some finagling to get it in. We removed the triangles and dogbone as well.
  2. Successful surgery! The patient will be better for it...good job.
  3. Make cutouts in the fence so the mirrors can pass thru. Feign ignorance when asked about how the funny holes got in the fence...
  4. Just take a pair of mirrors off one of those Ford F-350 beheomoths and mount em up. They fold in!

  7. Thanks Miguel. Looking forward to seeing you at Tmac!
  8. Dang, is there anything you don't know about motorcycles and mechanical stuff? I think you should download the contents of your brain to the VFRD server in case something happens to you... Seriously though thanks for the help you have given me...
  9. Yeah, Aluminum (Al - u - min - i - um to you Brits) isn't magnetic is it?
  10. Is 44 tooth avaliable in steel? actually 15/44 would be about right to hit the bikes top speed, 15/43 is slightly overgeared to do that unless running down hill. 43T or 44T http://sprocketcenter.com/index.php/street-sprocket-applications/honda/vfr-800f-2002-2009/oe-sprockets/jt-1340-530-pitch-oem-replacement-steel-rear-sprocket.html 15T counter sprocket http://sprocketcenter.com/index.php/street-sprocket-applications/honda/vfr-800f-2002-2009/oe-sprockets/afam-20602-530-chromoly-steel-front-sprocket-honda.html

  13. I noticed absolutely no one runs 16/44...As it applies to a 6th gen (16/43 stock), why not? Not enough of a difference?
