  1. That's any month but June/July/August in Ontario for you.
  2. MVP  Quick question though... I was eying a gear indicator tonight, and noticed it only says it's compatible with 06-09. It reads off the ecu supposedly, and I know they did change (tweak) that in 06. Is there any ACTUAL difference, or reason it wouldn't work on an 02? I'm assuming it reads the gear in the same way the PCV would.
  3. Hmmm... So, I've only had it on for a day, and I have been running it basically wide open... But, are you guys seeing a lot of fling INFRONT of your sprocket on the Swingarm (basically all over the nozzle)? In addition to all that fling there, my chain seems kinda dry on the actual rollers, and black grease still on the links...
  4. YAAAAAA! I FINALLY got it all working. It wasn't picking up the speedo sensor. Thats when I figured out that the "Posi-Tap" wasn't quite as "posi" as it appeared. The little needle deflected and missed the core of the pink wire. Take it apart, try again and blam! No problems. And no EMI. Installed a vista-cruise while I was at it. Now I can be double extra lazy!
  5. That's the extension that goes on the spanner wrench. The big angry C shaped one with the couple random teeth. It's used for adjusting the chain tension, changing preload on a non ABS bike, and holding your tank up.
  6. Glad to hear it's almost done. Great work!
  7. The Low is supposed to use the reflector, but since the H4 highbeam is still in the same bulb, shouldn't that still project to the same place, just brighter?
  8. Just looking for clearification, is that schematic from Darth's thread? Which mod does it represent?(EDIT: It is the LB-HB/HB) Why do you need a DPDT relay when the schematic shows a SPDT? Neat mod though, if I ever take the front end of my bike apart, I might just do this.
  9. That's what I was wondering... Ruined frame maybe?
  10. If I didn't have the GF on the back fairly often, I would match that. What little fender thats there helps keep her clean.
  11. As another person has asked me about it, how often do you find you have to refill it?
  12. I'd say build a naked bike first, then skin it if you have to (or can afford it). I was also wondering about the side rads with no ducting... Would they still be very efficient?
  13. Keep up the good work... Any cool fairing plans?
  14. What a tease, eh? Looks good enough to be true... Keep at it. Somewhere out there, someone is looking at an 11mm pitch belt with the correct number of teeth (for you), and wondering what to do with it...
  15. Sounds like the Stage II kit... :491:
  16. I can't wait to see this on the road/track. I love a good engineering job, and even if it is a little heavier than it has to be, you gotta start somewhere. Maybe a Titanium version down the road? That should be a bit lighter... I'm sure you'll go through a couple iterations before you're done with the bike, and I'll be keepin up on all of them!
  17. Hopefully the Canadian dollar will rebound by the time the 6th gen kit is done... Toro, do you recommend cat-less headers / aftermarket exhuast? Or would this work fine with the stock gear?
  18. Any updates? Reflections on chain life, dependability, etc...

  22. It's never too late to learn - most vocational schools offer night/adult classes also. :fing02: Resources would be a key word in there. I'd love to be able to get into all this craziness. I'm still tryin to put together the $500 it'll cost me to do track school this spring.
  23. Fair enough. Wouldn't be the first time I got a receipt in a box. I won't really be able to use it till ~March anyway...
  24. My GF will be glad to hear that! See's gonna get me one for Xmas! See if you can get it set up to be shipped out in time.
