MikeVFR92
I've asked a few people about this issue and have gotten a lot of different responses. Once I get it running and ride a while it starts up with the button on 1st or 2nd try. But it's progressively gotten worse, and now it seems every morning I hear the noises in the video. -1992 Honda VFR750 -Have tried 2 batteries -Battery is connected tight. -I haven't seen any corrosion on any connector's I've seen throughout the bike. But will check again if needed. Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBiVRX6wIJE&feature=youtu.be Attached File Apr 26, 10 52 10 AM.mov
Member Contributer Rice Posted April 28, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 28, 2016 It's hard to tell in the video, but does it actually start for a moment and then dies or does it just make the noise and not start. If the latter, then you are the proud member of the bad Starter Clutch club. Free to join. About $150 to get out.
Member Contributer JZH Posted April 28, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 28, 2016 It doesn't sound exactly the same way I remember my (cracked) starter clutch did, but it does sound like it could be the same problem. Ciao,
