Baggsy
Hi again, I have just removed my right fairing only to discover that the lowest middle bolt was last screwed in by a monkey. It was cross threaded quite badly so now i'm needing to tap the threads out. Anyone know what size tap I need and what the thread pattern is? Cheers

Baggsy
Thanks for the link. I ended up just using an M6 x 1.0 tap and it worked a charm
Member Contributer JZH Posted June 4, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted June 4, 2015 The only non-standard metric thread pitch used on VFRs are the M10s. Otherwise, the "standard" metric coarse thread pitch is used: M4 x 0.7 M5 x 0.8 M6 x 1.0 M8 x 1.25 M10 x 1.25 (except for certain threads on brake calipers and within forks, which are M10 x 1.0) Ciao,
