Surface Rust On Lower Triple Mounting Surface

With the forks out I've noted there is surface rust on the inside of each of the lower clamp openings. The forks showed some signs of it when they were removed. The heck of it is, I have rarely ridden it in rain and never spray it down when cleaning it.

Normally I would clean the metal up and apply something like anti-seize to prevent recurrence. In this case where keeping the tubes clamped in the exact location is imperative, I'm leery of using something that might cause slippage. Anyone dealt with this, and if so what did you do? Or, just not worry about it and put it back together? Thanks

Great - thanks! I have some 2000 grit paper left over from doing some color sanding on a car, and some Rustoleum clear I might touch up with.
