Member Contributer Africord Posted August 23, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 23, 2013 I have a series of small cracks across the face of my headlight lens. They aren't visible until you get about 3 feet away from the bike. My bulbs are stock. I know I can replace these for about $400, new, but does anyone have any other ideas. I can shoot a pic if that would help.
Member Contributer 2thdr Posted August 23, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 23, 2013 If you can live with it, put some of that clear protective film over them to prevent more damage?
Beck
Just curious to know, What kind of "cracks" are they,. Impact caused cracks or plastic deterioration crazing? I's kinda surprising they are cracked none the less, as the the plastic they use for headlights are pretty tough, and the bike isn't that old, so one would not expect too much, if any crazing on the lenses, unless you live in some crazy hot, super sunny place like Death Valley or something and you leave your bike out in the sun 24/7.......Nebraska couldn't be that bad weather-wise.
