Either pray to God that he sends you the answer while you sleep or remove the right fairing and look for a wirimg harness that goes around the gas tank. It would also

be hoocked to your R/R and your battery if this helps.

Maybe someone has pics, sorry I don't...

Look for extra/unused connectors near where the VFRness is plugged in

(but the PO may have chopped the connectors off, in that case the wires running outside is a hint indeed. Unless the PO re-taped the wiring loom  )

The old harness is a real pain the ass to take out so most people just clip the stator and r/r connectors off and run the new harness alongside the old as stated previously. If you look at the pictures posted you will see that the yellow wires that run from the R/R to stator plug are 12 gauge. The factory harness yellow wires are noticeably smaller in diameter. Another way to tell is to follow the positive wire (red) coming off the R/R to the battery. On the upgraded harness this red wire splits off with 1 lead running directly to the battery via a 20amp fuse and the other going straight to the starter relay. The remaining black wire on the harness coming from the R/R is grounded directly to the battery.

What's the easiest, read least invasive, way for me to confirm if my bike has or doesn't have this installed?

Thanks,

R.

If it's a 6th gen like in your avatar, here's a photo of it installed - note the green ground to the R/R mounting bolt, the relay and the purple wire. Those come with the kit.
