Member Contributer mello dude Posted June 2, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 2, 2011 anybody know a good mirror to replace the stock (bulky) mirrors with? Thank you I'm assuming you have the stock mirrors nicknamed around here as the "condom" mirrors. And most people like me replace with the 2000-2001 OEM mirror which are way better looking. Check #23 and # 25 from this list. http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/1/Make/Honda/YearID/42/Year/2001/ModelID/7427/Model/VFR800FI/GroupID/325186/Group/UPPER_COWL Btw Ronayers is a good place to check out parts

Member Contributer RollinAgain Posted June 3, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) Check my thread below for info on EMGO replacement mirrors. They are a little shorter than OEM but I am very pleased with the price. They will work with any VFR from 1990-2001 without any modification needed. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/63682-bye-bye-condom-mirrorsemgo-replacement-mirrors-on-my-3rd-gen/ Rollin Edited June 3, 2011 by RollinAgain
Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted June 3, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted June 3, 2011 I did the Y2K update on my 5th Gen. Cleaner look. Make sure you get the hardware kit that comes with the updated mirrors as the old mounts do not work well with the new mirrors.
