Member Contributer landlover Posted April 25, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted April 25, 2011 Hi, riding in the rain are there any shields out there that help see in the rain and have read about what is called hi def shields, are those the yellow and amber shields? Was in the rain the other day and it was o.k but it just seemed like the road got lost in the rain, if that makes any sense. What are they and how do they help? Member Contributer midlifeVFR Posted April 25, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted April 25, 2011 an amber shield would have some benefit when riding in the rain........amber increases contrast and will decrease glare.
Guest
I've found riding with an amber lens in the rain helps with visibility, cuts down on headlight/streetlight glare too at night.
