Does the stock exhaust on the 6th gen VFR have a catalyzing mechanism in it (coated baffles) to help reduce emissions? Just wondering if there is an increase in emissions when changing exhausts. Are some exhausts EPA/CARB approved?

Thanks

Yes they have cats.

All of the aftermarket exhaust systems for the VFR are slipons that are after the cat, so no effect on emissions (well sound, obviously).

I think there was one manufacturer who made aftermarket headers years ago for them, Predator, but they are $$$$$$. You can also fit stock headers from 98-99 model year VFRs, as they have no cats.
