Question

So, please excuse my ignorance... but would anyone know (I myself doubt it without having found info on it) if the front rotors of the 4th gen are compatible with the 5th gen ones??

Muchas gracias por adelantado.

According to the EBC brakes catalogue, the 4th gen uses an MD1003X front rotor.

5th gens use a MD1014X, so the short answer is no.

According to the catalogue, these bikes use the same front rotors as the 4th gen:

CBR 600 F3/SJR/SE 95-98

CBR 900 RR Fireblade 95-97

VTR 1000 F Super Hawk 98-05

As far as compatible rotors for the 5th gen MD1014X, here they are:

CBR 600 F4 99-00

CBR 900 RR Fireblade 93-94

GL 1500 C/CT Valkyrie/Valkyrie Tourer 97-99

GL 1500 C/CT/CF/CD Valkyrie/Valkyrie Tourer/Valkyrie Interstate 00-03

GL 1800/1800 A (ABS) “Goldwing” All models 01-08

in addition, although the rotors for 4th and 5th gens are the same size (diameter), they have different bolt patterns, so are not interchangeable.
