I think I'm rolling the 92 on the lift for it's next round of upgrades, so if you don't get an answer soon I will have one for you.

For that pic...

L - BLK/BL

C - BLK

R - RED/YL

Yep, agree with the Captain.

See Attached pic shows it.

For Info -

Black/Blue = 12v power to Fuel Pump

Black = 12v input.

Red/Yellow = ICM engine run signal to energise relay. #4 Ignition Coil Ground pulses.

Wired it up as sugesteds

Pump works when jumped

Black has a good 12 volt

Original relay- no pump

new relay #1- no pump

new relay #2- no pump

Cleaned r/y at coil

Cleaned coil ground

Pulled continuity from r/y at coil to relay-beeeeeep

Bike will run

 Still no pump

No visable breaks at any of the connections

ECU issues???? The bike always started hard when cold....harder that the rest of my vfrs!

Anyone run into this issue?

Where are you sourcing the relays?  The one in your first post looks generic.

Also remember that the pump won't "prime" with the key switched to on.  It will only operate when the bike is being cranked or running.

"Red/Yellow = ICM engine run signal to energise relay. #4 Ignition Coil Ground pulses." - Grum

If you want to determine if the relay was responsible for starting / running issues, just keep the blk - blk/blu jumped or install a toggle.

Try bench testing the Relays.

Apply 12v to the center pin, Ground/Negative to the right pin.

Do you hear the relay click? Does 12v appear on the left pin?

I'm not familiar with the internal triggering of the coil and only assuming that a non pulsed ground might also operate the relay, worth a try.

Also suspicious of the relay type, configuration and quality you may have purchased.

1993 OEM part is -

RELAY, FUEL CUT (SHINDENGEN)
36100-MN4-008

Interesting Info..... for a 97 model someone posted this pin to wire configuration.....

-Top/ left to right - Bl, R/Y, Bl/Bu.

Yet according to Partzilla 1993 and 1997 fuel cut relays are the same part number!!

Sorry, I don't own a 93 or 97 to physically check for you. Confusing!!!

You may need to experiment with the wire to pin config with your bench testing of the relays!

My 95 does not have the bodywork off to compare anything, but I'm pretty damn sure they use the same relay.
