My '14 coming with front and rear Dynamoto stands, I see not much use to the center stand once I master their usage safely. Is it true that the exhaust has to be removed to ditch the ctr stand?

I bought a brand new VFR800 Standard model about a month ago. I've read through most of the manual but I still have some very basic questions. 1)I'm assuming that there is no fuel manual petcock/shutoff since its fuel injected? 2)Is there a power outlet located somewhere on it? If not, is there a neat/easy way to add one? 3)Since it's the standard model it does not have a center stand. I'm willing to pay the money for a center stand, but not will to take the exhaust apart and all the other stuff that I've read you've gotta do to put the center stand on. Plus, since it has the single sided swing arm, you can't use one of those rear stand things. Does anyone have any ideas for how to fabricate a device for lifting the rear of the bike? Maybe something made out of wood that would lift at the attach points for the center stand? I'm not talking about something that would stay on the bike...just something to keep at home to lift the rear.

G'day, long time no write fellow VFR geeks!! I've spent the last hour going through oh, umpteen search results looking for a thread on how to DIY your own 3rd gen sidestand cover as they are no longer available from OEM part stores and rarer than rocking horse poo on ebay etc. Was there not a thread by someone who fabricated their own? If there was can someone pretty please (with a VFR on top) provide me with a link? If not, I wonder if Seb has ever thought of CDCing or 3D printing one or otherwise looked at providing these as a product, just as with his clear cluth covers??? Bueller? Thanks in advance and do keep the rubber side down!!

Hi there, Like a track noob I took off my side stand and picked up a single swing-arm pit bull stand. It looks all cool, but is overkill since I don't use/need tire warmers at my novice level. It's a pain in the arse when I am at the track by myself doing the single swing arm stand and was going to put back on the kick-stand. Though having the damnedest time remember how this thing goes back on. I have the 1998 manual, but not entirely sure where these springs need to attach or if I am missing parts? Side note: I do plan to keep the center stand off. By chance could somebody post a photo of their 1998 side-stand setup that I could gleam how to re-attach? W @wesburke

I did not really notice the lack of center ("centre" in Canada) stand until I was at home and trying to find it with my foot, then remembered that Honda did not ship this bike with one as a standard option! 7th Gen owners, do you miss it? Did you get one? I had one on all my other ST bikes, mainly for chain service, and luggage loading, although in malls and parking, I felt safer with it on the stand than on the side stand. I have not decided if I will get one, but am leaning towards yes.
