  1. Left caliper would not slide sideways. I now know why..... I think I will order a new one....
  2. With redslut now out of storage, it was time to see how the Vtec topcase (I bought on a whim in winter) would look on her. Euh......... I think I will put the case up for sale; it is (a lot) "too beaucoup" and not sure that the NH411 Silver looks ok in combination with the other colors. Part of the "problem" is that I had to be a bit creative to begin with, getting the Vtec side case brackets on her. And the GIVI topcase rack sits higher than original since I had to work my way around the Akrapovic high mount exhaust. All luxury choices by myself so no complaining from me.... So nothing bolted up yet, but you get my drift I guess:
  3. Hello Boys!!! I am BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! During the liitle shake down run from the storage space I spotted -and smelled - this one.... To my eyes a perfect restauration and in talking to the man, a passionate rider as well!
  4. Puma came with some nasty Chinese indicators that were absolutely tiny. Been on the lookout for some "right decade" ones and finally managed to grab a set at a reasonable price. See what I mean? The black plactic/rubber parts took a shine to the Meguiars Ultimate Black I now feel very happy: The require the mounting bracket to have 2 holes (1 for the wires 1 for the bolt) the the front brackets on Puma are different... 1 has 2 holes, 1 only 1...... The joys of a 30 years old motorcycle eh?
  5. Super Ho??? (I reckon this will make me "mini-me"............)
  6. And wear some mechanics gloves to keep your hands somewhat clean! :-)
  7. Kiitos Keny! The rear BT45 has plenty thread left, is from 2012 and the bike has been inside a garage since I bought it last year. So I am leaning towards the 110-90-16 BT45 again as not to mix brands. Or have you mixed Pirelli fronts with BT at the back?
  8. People are concerned about sink holes near their homes, I am more on the money spent on Puma already.... - YSS rear shock - RT emulators - VDO gauges But oh! the joy!!! There was a brisk wind blowing today, but with a little caution, it was ok...
  9. MT 2,50 x 16'' Found the culprit... A 5W bulb instead of the required 23W
  10. Cheers! I will verify both the bulbs' wattage when the storm subsides... Next question! The BT45 upfront is nearing its wear indicator so looking for a replacement. Size is 100-90/16, which limits choice of course. Would a 110-90/16 fit/be a good alternative? Would it stay clear of the front fender? Dunlop Streetsmart comes in that dimensions.
  11. What can cause one side to flash more rapidly then the other? Puma had this for some time now and it is beginning to annoy me that left flashes much faster versus the right side at a normal speed.... Indicator relay looks like this: What/how can I test it?
  12. That last one and the other old one are along de Vecht, before or after Nigtevencht, I forgot. Very very narrow lanes with blind corners, grid and sand all over and a larger section the tarmac top layer grated off.... :-) Ok, a few more piccies then
  13. Bring back that VOC mentality!!!! Dutch ingenuity and craftsmanship to the rescue!!! New seal in with Loc-tite and off we go for a long way round home! Talking'bout my ge- ge- generation.......... But first some lunch, and being in a fishers town that means.. "Look man, that is a fine looking motorcycle down there.." Paying Mr Leopard a visit... And to preempt the "WTF are the windmills??" Happy Days Are Here Again!!!
  14. No buy. As it was a short drive I took his word on the state. And didnot ask for close up pictures. He had stated "nothing was grotty", but that proved... I was looking for the front forks primarily they looked ok ish... But
  15. help me please...... I am going to look at another VF500F............. is there really no cure for MBD?
  16. A kind member from a Dutch forum gave me some chemical&heat resistant shrink-tubing to try and stem the leak on the clutch rod after the regular stuff clearly failed. But nope, still leaking............ So Satruday it will be Dremel Time! but at least I did get a test run in today! Spot the man at work!
  17. Cheers Keny, Checked out the clearance and bounced the forks in every position; puma is good to go! New seal is in, over Easter it will be dremelled and kitted in place..
  18. I will have a closer look in the morning, raise them if needed! Kiitos kiitos for the heads up!
  19. Spot the additionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!! Not seeing it? No?
  20. Plenty scope to farkle! Stebel Garmin DLRL Heated Gloves Phone charger Clock Battery Charger and who knows what else :-)
  21. Well, the crimp over clutch rod mod proved a temporary fix, she is back to leaking. So in 2 weeks I will visit The Dutchy for a spot of Dremelthodology.. did treat the girl to some semi-dino; did 4Kkm's on her last year and the previous owner said he'd changed it 1k prior. Drip drip dripping! (Kool Moo Dee )
