Thanks for the welcome!
@Dutchy I did. Luckily nothing wrong with the stator.
Before the new regulator the charging voltage was 12.5 at 2000rpm and 13.6 at a high rev, if the lights where off.
After the mosfet regulator was swapped in, the voltage was a stable 14.53V. A high rev only followed by a short 0.01 increase in voltage
You measured Vdc and that is ok.
With the voltage regulator disconnected (the bike will start fine w/o it), measure the Vac (wisselstroom) output over each pairing of the 3 yellow wires). There should be no major delta in the readings.
I suggest you instal a small voltmeter. The actual reading is not that important, you will soon know what is "normal". If and when the readings are 1- 2 volt "off", you know it is time to head home 🙂

Did I hear my name? Yeah, good times, brain surgery, then suspended license, what a year! although I did get my license reinstated, I did also lose my insurance coverage for next year, seems the under writer does not allow for any license suspensions, for any reason! All good now, in both health and insurance, but don't want to go through any of that again!
As far as riding, I haven't been to the track in a couple of years, and it was just about 9 months to the day from my initial seizure to the day I got my license back, so a small bit of time without any riding. Felt like forever though. Once I got my license back, I hopped on the bike as soon as I could, did a couple of commutes to San Diego and a few little trips down the coast and back, so I was able to at least go over the 400 mile mark, but still have not done a "proper" ride yet.
I'll definitely be doing some local "twisty" rides soon and hopefully get back to the track to work with the Superbike School again. Just need to get some bike restoration projects completed first, need to get some garage space back. Of course I do sneak out for those little rides but those only comfort me for so long.
There will be a motorcycle for you to ride should you ever come to the Netherlands.

"Replaced the stator wiring and connectors and got the output routed to the battery directly (fused)."
Did you check/measure the stator's internal reasistance over each pair of yellow wires and Vac output at idle and 5,000RPM (engine hot)?

Between the 2 Gileras, 2 Hondas, Moto Morini and MV Agusta rode some 24,000km in 2023.
40hrs work per week restrict a bit..
But some 42 days paid vacation per year helps...
Plan to ride the same kms this year, tripto the Manx GP already decided upon.

Hello
I am based in London and I would like to know if you full set of body panels, which colours and how much?
Red. RC36-2 1994-97
I will let you know if he's willing to go through the brexit hoops....
update: no shipping.
he prefers a buyer to come see/inspect first to avoid discussion afterwards.
and shipping cost/risk too high.

I remember when I started working on it again I said to my wife that I wanted to have something that, LCD clock aside, was almost completely analog in nature.
it'd be nice to use something that is a world away from the digital devices we use all of the time. It seems purer and more tangible somehow.
I see a <1950's motorcycle in your future.....
I infected my pal last year and now he owns two...

Nice work! It sounds so sweet!
So is that spring preload adjustment on the wing-nuts front and rear or is that friction damping?
Yes, friction damping.
Front is a "forcella stampata" like a Webb.
Rear is friction damped too, springs on either side.

Started looking like this
A prior owner cobbled it together for <125cc demo racing.
The engine in fact was >165cc....

Has been awhile since posting, I was made redundant back in March after 25yrs so been enjoying some time off and my new job.
Had the valves checked and all good nil adjustment required at 30000kms. Whilst at it Coolant, oil, filter, new Iridium Plugs, clutch and brake fluids, and a good clean. All going well.
Merry Christmas to all.
Hello Pete,
Merry Xmas to you too!
Glad to see you found a new job you enjoy.

+1 on what the Captain said.
Even on the VF500F, they have a different fuel tap 84-85 (with fuel pump) and 1986 (gravity fed)
The innards of the fuel tap differ too in diametre/size
