Cool Pix Jon! Looks like a fun time at the track. keith
  2. And it is very likely that Jason got a "good" engine in his bike to start with. With the vagaries of mass production (even on the small scale of VFR engines) some will be better than others right from the start. I believe that a proper break in (not a factory manual soft break in) of the new engine is critical in how it will perform over time. I know my cousins 2000 VFR that we picked up last month in Lutz, FL is stronger than my 2001. I almost felt on a back to back ride with him last week that his still feels stronger even with my new rear sprocket (+2). :o Oh well, after a big bore kit and some work I will be satisfied. Besides, I thought the larger diameter exhaust header that Jason was putting would reduce his midrange torque...I was wrong and glad of it.
  3. Kind of the reverse of all the VFR stock seats popping up on ebay for sale after our Sergant group buy.
  4. WOW! Freaking sweet Jason! That 40% throttle opening jump is astounding to me. I would be shocked if your fuel mileage didn't improve by at least 4-6 mpg. That is simply awesome. Do you have the graph to scan in and post so we can see the curve and RPM? keith
  5. Thanks for the links Will.
  6. Install looks good. What was the cost of the unit from BMW?
  7. Sounds like you wound up close to the stock spacer length after taking off 25mm from the recommended length. thanks for the info Cap'n.
