Better lean

jstanwood

I got tired of dragging pegs and toes, so I started hanging way off. It kept parts off the ground, but was probably exaggerated.

Nice pix, man! I'm no expert but I think hanging off (besides looking cool) makes the likelihood of lowsiding much lower. More of the middle of the tire used as the contact patch, bike more upright, center of gravity more vertical...all should help keep the bike from sliding out from under you, plus it's easier to 'flick' the bike in quick transitions if it's not all the way over to one side.

Again, no expert - you're much more of an expert than me, considering the track time! Gotta get myself some more gear and head down to Mid-Ohio next year.

Body position looks good, not crossed up like many when they start to hang off. Now go faster with your new found ground clearance.
