Shouldn't there be an official list with phone numbers/email addresses? I stop in here once in a while to see what the status is and I always see someone posting interest in another run. I missed the last run. I don't want to miss another one. With as many people as I've seen express interest, I'd have thought we'd be closer to ten now.

So the run of 5th/6th gen VFRD headers were all the same, right? So any of that run will fit a 5th gen or a 6th gen, right? There weren't some built for 5th gens, and some tweaked for 6th gens, right? Trying to be sure I understand this correctly.

Yeah, I couldn't remember if it was 15 or 20 to make the minimum. But I just figured if we could get the minimum number of people together with cash, we could probably get it done. But we're still a long way off. Edit: Also, we should start an official list, just in case we do get enough interest.

Hey, thanks for the offers, and the info. I think I'm gonna stick with what I have for now, but I'll keep it in mind in case I decide to switch.

I just happened to see a set of early 5th gen headers on eBay for a good price. But, yeah, prolly not worth it. There are plenty of other places to put my money on this bike. My carcass is already pretty lean, so got that covered. Track time... Yep, working on it. Thanks for the advice, sounds good. Some of these guys are pretty nutty, anyway. I don't need to go that fast on the streets. A couple of them collided on a recent run, sending both of them to the hospital. That little mishap almost included me. Luckily, I looked in the mirror before I turned left. The other guy didn't.

So, for my next question... What's the next best thing for my 2000 VFR800? Would it be worth it to buy someone's '98-'99 stock header and get rid of my cat? Or maybe bash out the inside of the cat? The bike is 21 years old now, but runs great. Is there a good aftermarket performance header available at all?

I'd be pretty damn interested if there was ever another batch run. Honestly, it's kinda outside my budget right now. I have other priorities. But, if the chance came up, I'd prolly throw money at it. I want 'em bad. The guys I ride with all have pure sport bikes. they are all fast, but I love my VFR. I also hit up MrSquiggle, but he hasn't answered.
