  1. I did pull probably a third of a quart out, so it was a substantial amount but I don't understand the connection either. Also seems to rev out to higher rpms much easier now. Hopefully someone with more mechanical knowledge than me (pretty much everyone!) may be able to shed some light on it. Google searches into other forums bring up quite a few other people that have experienced the same results with other bikes.
  2. Also curious if anyone has experience with these. Looks and price are fantastic, almost seems to good to be true>
  3. Been riding for over 40 years and am embarrassed to admit I did not know of this. My 2004, just bought last winter (from a dealer) and only started riding this spring, shifted rather poorly right from the day I first used it. Assumed the prior owner may have messed it up some or that it was just the way they shifted. Before my first oil change recently, I checked the oil level. It was somewhat above the upper level. Before changing the oil I siphoned some of it out to get between the lines and took it for another ride. Night & day, it now shifts like a dream. My bad for assuming a dealer had done the service correctly. Live & learn 😳
  4. For anyone on the fence about picking up a Sargent seat, they are now offering a 15% discount with the promo code "black18" Just placed my order, knocked the price (for a 6th Gen with a black welt) from $409.95 to $348.46. http://www.sargentcycle.com/Seats-Accessories/Sargent-Seats-Honda/
  5. Following, wondering this myself
  6. Hey neighbor! Just under 28k. Assuming it was properly taken care of by the previous owner, which all indications point to, hope to get a few more out of it.
  7. Same old story, wasn't really looking for it but couldn't pass it up. 2004 Interceptor, pretty nice shape, unmolested except for a tail tidy (which I'm not too sure about), very minor scratches here and there (it is 14 years old), selling from a dealer at a price I couldn't pass up ($2400). One advantage of buying bikes up north is their prices plummet in the fall/winter. Wasn't able to ride it due to the white stuff, but the dealer is guaranteeing (in writing) it will be good in the spring. Unfortunately it will be sitting there for a while, but they are storing it gratis. Can't wait to try it out, going to be a looooong winter. Love my baby Duke, but it is a bit strained at interstate speeds. The VFR should make a great stablemate. Looking forward to poring over the archives here to see what I'm in for.
