  1. Hi. if you have not seen Steve's wrapped VFR I've attached a pic of both his bikes. Both look amazing. Not sure if he still owns it. Enjoy the pic they booth look stunning.
  2. This past year I did not change the oil before storage due to unforeseen circumstances. Its been eating away at me all winter. LOL. I'm a little OCD when it comes to my machines. I will swap out the oil in the next few weeks with riding season around the corner. I only rode 3000km last summer so I wouldn't think the oil is disgusting but it still eats away at me. (10/40 synthetic Motul) Any one else out there like me. I know some guys who run the same oil 2 summers straight. LOL. Ride safe this spring and enjoy your VFRs. Some of the best bikes ever made.
  3. I have my new JT sprockets arriving today with my DID 525 xring chain that i bought over a year ago waiting their arrival. I have 32,000kms on my VFR. Sprockets still look good but as they say sprockets and chain at the same time. Looking forward to spring.
  4. I may be replacing my sprockets this summer and wanted to know does the front sprocket require the rubber piece or can I get Frnt sprocket without. Thanks
  5. I currently have road 5s on my 8th gen VFR. The Road 6 would usually be my defacto choice but I've read some good reviews on the Dunlop Roadsmart 4s. Anybody have any opinions? I'm a fan of the Road 5 comfort , grip and longevity. The Dunlops seem more sporty and great grip.
  6. My wheels were a 2 stage pearl white with clear coat. Simply stunning.
  7. I have a new RK xring sitting in the box for about a year waiting for when i want to install it. A gold chain on a beautiful white VFR will add nothing. You don't need to attract attention to your chain. Good luck.
  8. Riding on my favorite roads this past weekend. She still puts a grin on my face. Ride safe
  9. Did you get then seat cowl with the bike. May I recommend Michelin Road 5 or 6 for tires great longevity and stick for the road. Congrats on the bike its an amazing machine and still puts a grin on my face even when riding slow. Good luck.
  10. Looks amazing. Better than the marlboro version. The RZ 500 colorway is also amazing. I want one. If they ever come to Canada that is.
  11. Maybe he would like a Triumph speed triple RR. I've been eyeing one for the last 2 years but can't get myself to sell my VFR.
  12. One last thing. I met Freddie Spencer in person at a motorcycle show before Covid. We had a great convo and he luved the fact i was riding a RWB VFR 800 25th. I told him I always pretended I was him when I attack the corners. We had a great laugh. When asked what do you ride on the street back home? He replied with a grin and a smile: RWB 25th like you. and thats how he signed his book (Freddie Spencer: FEEL) for me; Hey John, keep enjoying your VFR I have one too. Freddie Spencer. F'N Priceless.
  13. Arguably one of the best motorcycles ever made. I never thought an 11.3 sec quarter mile time was slow or 0-100 mph in 7.5 sec. (Cycle World Test) The engine is so refined and the quality of assembly is so above most bikes. Just riding it slow makes me Grin. Engine noise and smoothness and qaulity of controls and paint. Its not the lightest bike but I ride with Ducati V4s and V2 and Aprilia Tuonos and my buddies bikes are always having problems or waiting for parts. In the twisties on the street I'm there with them and if they want to lose me they are going to crash. LOL Its so stable at 140 mph. VTEC noise transition. Good luck, my VFR is my sportbike that I can ride for 4 hrs. And the looks , nuf said.
  14. Well I went to the show. I'm addicted to the drug they call motorcycles. It was sad once again. No new motorcycles except maybe Suzuki GSXS8r. Only positive bought a new REVIT summer riding jacket. Honda stand was sad. No new bikes except for CBR 650r eclutch. Poor Honda. Where is the Honda CB1000 hornet or Yamaha XSR 900GP? We get squat. Only positive , I own one of the best all around motorcycles ever made. Ride safe everyone riding season is getting close.
