  1. What kind of gains do you see with the PC? I am on the fence about getting one. Looking at a Akrapovic slip on and a Power Commander. For that kind of scratch I would like to know what folks are seeing as results.
  2. I have a 2014 VFR800F, I have been considering getting a PC V. I am not sure what kind of improvement I would be getting. What is the expected improvement?
  3. Hmm, Makes me wonder if lined up the wrong match marks... As our shifters seem to be lined up the same. lol I guess I goofed. I'll have to realign the shifter and see if that gives me the room back..
  4. Fink, Just a quick look shows that your shifter is set up differently than mine. Your shifter is almost straight my is angled down. unless the camera angle is playing tricks on me. I did follow the instructions and lined up all the match marks. Hmmm, maybe I should just adjust the linkage until the shifter is parallel to the peg and get that room back. Don't know what to say. I never had my boot stuck under the shifter with the stock one and have accidentally upshifted twice already trying to get my boot out of the quick shifter. Perhaps the angle is effecting travel making it shift earlier? I guess I could take the collar off the shift cog and rotate it until the shifter is level with the peg and see if that helps. Either way not a big deal I am getting used to it and shifting with the side of my boot. I will probably just leave it alone...
  5. I installed the Honda quickshifter on my Gen 8. Let me tell you it is a lot of fun! It was easy to do, the only comment I have is that it seems to be a little shorter than the stock shifter. I am shifting with the side of my boot because sometimes I can up shift trying to get my boot out from between the shorter and the foot peg. I am looking at putting lowered foot pegs on. That should do it. But man it is a lot fun zipping through the gear box at 11,000 RPM!
  6. EagleSix, Thank you I am quite proud of her. The front and rear axle guards went on very easily. Everything fit very well. Ro
  7. Tiutis, They are from T-Rex Racing. Here is the link https://t-rex-racing.com/catalog.php?item=964. It took almost no time to install. The only part that is not totally idiot proof is the lower bolt of the left side has a spool shaped spaced behind the frame right over the chain. It can move if you don't know its there it can be amusing trying to fit the supplied bolt through the hole if it is off a bit, or worse if it falls and you don't see it fall you could assemble the side without it in place. Not a big deal if you pay attention during assembly, it won't be an issue. Ro
  8. Hello all, Just purchased a 2014 Interceptor Deluxe! It has been about 25 years since I rode anything on the "Sporty" side. Oh WOW things have changed a bit. She only had .3 miles on her. Put some frame sliders on as soon as I got her home. Now she's got 85 miles on her. Curse this rain, I want to ride... It is a completely different ride than my Moto Guzzi Eldorado (Also a 2014). Biggest difference is the shifting clutch engagement is totally different, I suspect its due to the difference between a wet and dry clutch. Or it could be that I am shifting way to soon at about 5K, I was told during engine break in don't go higher than 50%. Seems a little jerky at times. I am still getting used to not having floorboards and the riding position. in short I am loving this bike! Ro
  9. Well, I went for it and installed them. Heard on another forum that they had helped some folks during mishaps. That bracket is pretty darn beefy and no-one had any tales of brackets smashing into anything. Actually the opposite was true I had many responses that said it had saved them from damage. However as I think about this I may not have been clear what I was looking at them for. I do not (as of now) take her to a track, and was thinking about low speed slides or maybe a parked fall. It has been 25 years since I had anything on the "sporty" side. I love this bike I just wish it would quit raining so I could go out and rack up some miles. Ro
  10. Hello, I have been looking for 2014 VFR800FD faring parts. No accident here just wanted to pull off the stock ones and put on aftermarket ones. The paint is way too darn expensive for me to consider painting and or decaling over it. I was thinking of finding a fairing kit, doing a custom paint job maybe a decal or two. Saving the originals wrapped in a blanket so they don't get messed up, just incase I need/want to return it to the stock look. I can find a lot for the 2002-2010 model but none for Generation 8. Any ideas? Ro
